USDB committee unanimously approves prioritized facilities recommendations and directs DFCM coordination

The priorities read into the motion were: (1) Salt Lake full campus replacement (147,700 gsf target); (2) St. George campus expansion (99,900 gsf target); (3) Springville completion (add classrooms and separate multipurpose space); and (4) relocate USIMAC to support assistive-technology operations.
The committee recorded the vote as unanimous; Chair Wood said the package will go to the full board in early August. Deputy Voorhees helped reformat motion language for clarity and asked staff to place the general coordination language at the top of the motion. The committee asked staff to present concise, legislatively digestible figures (classroom vs office vs storage vs shared space) drawn from prior consultant studies when the package is presented to external reviewers.
