Board Finalizes 2025–26 School Calendar, Eliminates Unused Emergency Days

The Superintendent presented the final 2025–2026 school calendar and noted that unused emergency days had been removed as required by the Illinois State Board of Education. The Board approved eliminating the emergency days of May 22, 26, 27, 28 and 29 and will submit the calendar to the ISBE (Resolution #15284).
The motion passed with aye votes from Mr. Caputo, Mr. Durkin, Ms. Gasca, Ms. Hruska, Mr. Novak and Ms. Zalas; Mr. Williams was absent. No additional changes to the calendar were recorded in the minutes.
