The working group recommended that the Springville campus be extended to include middle and high school classrooms that were in the original design but not funded, and to add space to separate cafeteria/gym/multipurpose functions. Superintendent Nelson and operations director Dwight Overgaard confirmed the Springville campus is roughly 31,400 square feet plus a 4,200-square-foot portable; the working group identified two additional classrooms (roughly 900 sq ft each) as part of the completion work.
Board members noted Springville is a newer facility (built within the last decade) and emphasized that the campus still needs those originally planned spaces. Member Booth and others asked that the committee make clear that Springville is not a lower priority for students' needs even though it ranked third on the working-group list; the recommendation remains part of the prioritized package forwarded to the board.
