Board adopts amended 2025–26 district budget after public hearing

The Salt Creek School District 48 Board voted May 21 to adopt its amended 2025–2026 district budget after a public hearing and a presentation by Ms. Jilek. The amended budget had been on public display at the district administrative offices prior to the meeting.
"The 2025-2026 Amended District Budget has been on public display in the District 48 Administrative Offices, and a public hearing was held prior to this meeting," Ms. Jilek said. On a motion by Mr. Van De Velde and seconded by Mr. Blair, the board approved the amended budget; all present voted yea with Mr. Downer absent. Ms. Jilek also presented the district’s investment overview (including ISDLAF+ through PTMA) and monthly April financial statements.
Board members approved several finance items during the meeting, including the annual resolution to publish Illinois Prevailing Wages on the district website for 2026–2027 and the required surety and general-obligation bonds for the School District Treasurer for fiscal year 2026–2027.
