The Salt Creek School District 48 Board of Education voted May 21 to adopt the Illinois State Board of Education Consolidated District Plan (CDP) for 2026–2027, a required planning document for the district’s federal Title and IDEA grants.
"The ISBE Consolidated District Plan (CDP) for 2026-2027 is required for participation in our various programs paid for with Federal Title Funds," Dr. Martelli said. He told the board the CDP lets the district answer a single set of planning questions to satisfy federal formula-grant requirements for Title I (basic programs), Title II (professional development), Title IV (social-emotional learning and technology), and IDEA grants. The board approved the CDP on a motion by Mr. Blair, seconded by Mr. Van De Velde; the motion passed with all present voting yea and Mr. Downer absent.
The adoption means staff can proceed with program planning tied to those federal funds for the coming school year. Board members did not request amendments during the meeting; Dr. Martelli said the plan aligns the district’s grant goals with current programming and professional-development priorities.
