Ellis County introduces new hires and promotes staff across EMS, sheriff and public works

The EMS director introduced Kimberly Sack and Slade Salmons as part‑time EMT hires and announced Emma Scofield's promotion to captain after 12 years of service. Environmental services introduced Bob Schubert as a heavy equipment operator who previously worked for county EMS. Sheriff Scott Brownells introduced several staffing changes, including Jacob Haines, a recent hire, Andrew Shealy's completion of supervisory training and promotion to deputy 2, and Nathan Carlin's transfer to courthouse security. Commissioners congratulated the staff and welcomed them to service.
