The Elko County Advisory Board to Manage Wildlife opened its meeting with a Pledge of Allegiance and roll call before handling organizational business. Justin French nominated Jim Cooney to continue as chair and reaffirmed Joel McConnell as vice chair; Michael Mora seconded and the board approved the nominations by voice vote.
The board then approved the meeting agenda on a motion by Joel McConnell, seconded by Justin French, and later approved the minutes from the Nov. 3, 2025 meeting after a motion from Justin French that Joel McConnell seconded. Chair Jim Cooney cast the aye in each voice vote. Members noted an email from Mike Stevens that will be addressed during public-comment slots or future agendas.
