Alex also described an appeals process and acknowledged that some categories are subjective: "I think it is important that we have, have an opportunity for an appeal ... these categorizations are subjective," he said. Staff offered sample estimates (Sweet Beach Station public safety surcharge ~ $93.77; library estimate ~ $290/month) and said the proposal would be scheduled for first reading on Aug. 5 if needed.
