Board approves Amplify Desmos math pilot and extension of Math Expressions

The Benzie County Central Board of Education voted to pilot the Amplify Desmos curriculum for math and to extend Math Expressions for teachers not in the pilot. The recommendation, presented by Sandy Magnan and Asa Kelly on behalf of the District Math Committee, passed unanimously.
Superintendent Erfourth noted the pilot arises as the current Math Expressions program expires this year and recommended the one-year extension for non-pilot teachers to ensure continuity while the pilot proceeds. The motion was recorded as 25-26-110 and passed 7-0.
