At its May 11 meeting the Benzie County Central Board approved three contracts: the Roadmaster Driving School, LLC annual renewal to lease district space and reimburse $3 per student; the Verita Fiber E‑Rate maintenance contract; and the Twin Bay contract.
Superintendent Erfourth presented the Roadmaster renewal and said the vendor would provide $3 per student in reimbursement. The board then approved the renewal by unanimous motion. Finance director Danielle Banasiak framed the E‑Rate maintenance proposal as a contract that uses conservative cost estimates: she described the presented figures as "worst case scenarios" anticipating multiple breaks and repairs in a year and said the district’s share would be 10% with 90% billed to E‑Rate. The board approved the E‑Rate contract and the Twin Bay contract unanimously.
All three approvals were routine renewals or maintenance contracts; specific future invoices and maintenance schedules will be handled by finance and operations staff per standard purchasing procedures.
