Titonka council signs off on Water Plant change order, payments and door repairs

Mayor David LaGue and the Titonka City Council on Sept. 11 approved multiple final-phase actions for the Titonka Water System Improvements Project, including a change order and payment application tied to ongoing construction. The council adopted RESOLUTION NO. 25-26-05 approving Change Order No. 10 and RESOLUTION NO. 25-26-06 approving Pay Application Number 19 to Woodruff Construction, Inc.; roll-call votes on both items were unanimous (5 ayes, 0 nays). The council also approved the Certificate of Substantial Completion for the project.
Guadalupe Munoz Rocha of ISG reviewed council and staff updates related to the project during the meeting. The council additionally approved an agreement with Doors, Inc. to address issues with fiberglass doors at the Titonka Water Plant (motion by Council member Katie Prothman, second by Mike Etherington). These actions together move the project into its closeout and turnover stages, allowing the city to process final payments and address remaining construction-defect items through the approved agreements.
