The board adopted a package of routine business-service resolutions: Resolution 25‑04 (authorize signatures for warrants drawn on district funds in the county treasury), Resolution 25‑05 (authorize signatories for State Allocation Board/Office of Public School Construction documents), and Resolution 25‑06 (appoint a representative to the South Bay Schools Insurance Authority). Each resolution passed by roll call with four ayes and one abstention; Trustee Brewer abstained on these items after joining the board this evening.
Trustees later adopted Resolution 25‑07 authorizing temporary borrowing between district funds if needed; that vote likewise recorded four ayes and one abstention. In the bond program section, the board approved Veil Construction Inc.'s change order No. 1 for site work and utilities at Northwood Elementary; the change order was a credit of $37,000 to the district and was approved unanimously.
The superintendent noted the three finance resolutions are annual housekeeping items and explained the assistant superintendent for business services will be added to authorised signatory lists as part of the updates. Trustees asked clarifying questions and approved the items on roll call.
