District updates board on Measure U projects, cites PG&E delay for solar interconnection
Summary
Director of maintenance Dan Norris briefed the Berryessa Union Elementary School District board on Measure U construction progress, including playground fences, security replacements and near-complete work at Brooktree; he said solar systems are awaiting PG&E interconnection and an AT&T fiber relocation slowed the MOT warehouse demo.

Dan Norris, the district’s director of maintenance, operations and transportation, presented the monthly Measure U construction update and walked the board through project photos and the color-coded schedule key for project phases.
"So we're really, really close and, you know, we're just waiting on PG and E for the interconnection," Norris said about the solar installations, and he described progress including Brooktree being "99% completed" on security replacement and imminent installations at Sierramont. He also explained that MOT warehouse work slowed because the main fiber cable ran across the building; the district and AT&T built a new raceway and AT&T is scheduled to start pulling fiber within a week or two.
Board members asked for specific design and insulation details for replacement windows at Vinci Park and follow-up on parking-lot safety paint at Summerdale and Noble; Norris committed to providing confirmation on double-pane specifications and to follow up on the Noble parking-lot curb and paint issues before the next board meeting.
