Board approves MHSAA membership, schedules July organizational meeting and OKs golf team travel

At its June 8 meeting the Durand Area Schools Board adopted a set of routine resolutions and travel approvals.
Member Mandy Marsh moved and member Xak Zdunic supported a resolution approving Durand Area Schools’ Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) membership for Aug. 1, 2026 through July 31, 2027; the vote was 7–0. The board also approved a July Organizational Meeting to be held Monday, July 13, 2026 at 7 p.m. in the Administration Building (motion by Marsh, second by Rice), and approved overnight travel for the Boys Golf Team to Battle Creek for State Finals on June 4–5, 2026 (motion by Rice, second by Taylor). All motions carried on unanimous roll-call votes.
