Board honors Students of the Month and recognizes music teacher award

The Chelsea School District board opened the meeting by honoring its Students of the Month for May: Austin Cunningham (North Creek Elementary) and Gwen Strecker (South Meadows Elementary). The board also recognized Bradley Dunn in his role as Student Board Liaison for his service and reflections as he nears the end of his term.
Superintendent Kapolka and the board congratulated Nathan Peters for being named the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association District 12 Orchestra Teacher of the Year, noting his 27 years of service to the district.
