Site work and demolition underway; ground breaking set for June 11

Superintendent Mike Kapolka told the Board that site work at the district soccer field began on Monday, June 1, and that demolition work at North Creek Elementary began on Monday, June 8. Kapolka said classrooms have been relocated to Pierce Lake during construction and thanked operations staff for the move: "A special thanks to Ross and his team for getting the classrooms moved to Pierce Lake."
A brief ground breaking ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, June 11 at 9 a.m. at North Creek, and the event will continue at WSEC. The report was delivered during the Superintendent Report & Communications block and staff will continue to update the Board as construction milestones are reached.
