The Ionia County Intermediate School District Board of Education unanimously adopted Amendment II to its 2025-26 appropriations at its March 12, 2026 meeting, approving amended budgets for the General Fund, Special Education Fund and the Vocational Education Fund.
Marvin Van Nortwick, the district's fiscal services lead, presented the budget information and said the budgets "remain on solid ground." The board moved to "approve the Amended Budget #2 Resolutions as presented," a motion made by Amber Rood and supported by Kerry Possehn; a roll call vote was recorded with members Linda Hoxie-Green, Randy Masterson, Amber Rood and Kerry Possehn voting yes.
The published amendment documents show total General Fund revenues of $7,668,333.00 for FY2025-26 and a projected June 30, 2026 General Fund balance of $1,410,916.00 after the amendment. The Special Education Fund amendment lists total amended revenues and an estimated Fund Balance of $6,499,622.31 on June 30, 2026. The Vocational Education Fund amendment records an amended June 30, 2026 fund balance of $935,525.60.
Board approval adopts the resolutions as the district's amended appropriation for the fiscal year. The minutes note that no member voted against the resolutions and that changes in appropriations require board approval going forward.
