Commission signs off on fall 2026 program fees and new partnerships, staff highlight registration dates

Staff reviewed proposed program fees for fall 2026 and the commission approved the schedule and related partnerships. Carolyn summarized fee changes and said most classes remain at the same rate; she told the commission the one substantive change was an increase for the 13-to-18 competition dance program to cover higher expenses. "We've not increased the dance program. However, for the competition dance team, there is an increase for the 13 to 18 year old program," Carolyn said.
Staff also announced new partnerships and events: a 'princess party' fundraiser organized by West Bend Friends of Park and Recreation to be held at the Beach House (no extra participant fee for that group's support), and a new partnership with Vortex Pickleball for fall classes. Courtney and Carolyn noted registration opens Aug. 11 for residents and Aug. 18 for non-residents and encouraged continued marketing to boost enrollment for lower-enrollment youth programs.
