Commission approves transfer from park trust to cover Special Olympics expenses

Carolyn presented a resolution to transfer funds from the Yark park trust account to an expense account to cover costs associated with Special Olympics activities. She told commissioners the Yark account had $35,655 as of June 30 and that the transfer would pay for transportation, tournaments and overnight accommodations for athletes. "We met with Special Olympics today...they are revitalizing the program here in West Bend," Carolyn said.
Commissioners moved and seconded the resolution and approved it by voice vote. Carolyn also reviewed recent Special Olympics fundraising, including a June brat-fry and several memorial gifts; she asked the commission to accept and record the donations for program use.
