Ionia County ISD holds Truth-in-Budgeting hearing; 2026–27 budgets presented

The Ionia County Intermediate School District Board of Education held a Truth-in-Budgeting hearing on June 11, 2026, in the Looking Glass Conference Room. President L. Hoxie-Green called the meeting to order at 3:31 p.m.; the board approved the meeting agenda on a motion by Treasurer Brian Talbot, supported by ISD Board Secretary Amber Rood. The motion passed unanimously.
Marvin Van Nortwick, the district's director of fiscal services, presented summaries of the proposed 2026–2027 Original Budgets for multiple funds and the 2026 L-4029 tax collections. Van Nortwick described the proposed revenues and expenditures for the CTE/Vocational Education Fund, the General Fund, the Special Education Fund and Student School Activity Funds and noted that formal action on these budget and tax items would be taken at the Regular Board Meeting immediately following this hearing.
There were no visitors or public comments during the hearing. President Hoxie-Green adjourned the meeting at 3:52 p.m.; the adjournment motion passed unanimously.
