Superintendent reports progress on athletic turf, track, boilers and roof work

Superintendent Adam Bowen gave a construction and operations update covering multiple district projects currently underway. "Construction is in full swing," Bowen reported, describing work at the multiplex, track and athletic fields.
Bowen said the old multiplex turf has been removed and the surface is prepped for new turf delivery and installation this week. The running track rubber is being removed and the base is being prepped for a new rubber surface. New lights at the multiplex have been installed and crews are completing wiring; new baseball field light poles and fixtures are installed with underground service being run to each pole. Bowen also reported that boilers were demoed, new boilers set in place and work on piping for water supply and exhaust is underway. He added that MS/HS roof replacement is proceeding "section by section," elementary LED classroom light upgrades are on track, and installation of a new PA system and wireless access points has begun.
Bowen closed with brief operational notes: summer day camp and summer school are running well and the district has a blood drive scheduled this Thursday.
