County denies petition to broaden commercial cannabis cultivation zoning

Zielinski told the board he had worked six years with the state licensing system and was seeking the ability to grow on his 20‑acre parcel in Oak Lawn Township. Commissioners expressed reluctance to change zoning only eight months after the ordinance rewrite. A motion to deny the petition passed by voice vote, leaving the current zoning restrictions in place.
