Commission recommends Pelican Valley preliminary plat with highway access conditions

Following technical difficulties with the applicant’s audio connection, staff and Kevin McCormick (authorized agent for Rocket Rentals LLC) presented the Pelican Valley preliminary plat for parcel 77060524 in the Shoreland District. Highway staff described access and sight‑line issues and recommended conditions to consolidate and correct skewed driveways; the applicant agreed to address those items.

Highway staff summarized recommended conditions including reclaiming an existing through‑driveway, fixing a skewed access to improve sight lines, and consolidating access points if Lots 4 and 5 come under common ownership. Highway warned that if the site later developed commercially, turn lanes or other improvements could be required under cost participation policies. The commission recommended approval of the preliminary plat with the five conditions outlined in the staff report; the motion carried.
