Sysnowjek said progress on SCORE (the distribution of solid‑waste management tax revenue back to counties) was limited because the session’s fiscal constraints left few discretionary dollars for substantial reallocation. She outlined product‑stewardship developments: last year’s packaging bill remained in place and helped resist rollbacks, while proposals to expand stewardship to e‑waste and batteries did not survive this cycle. On data centers, Sysnowjek said permit and pre‑application safeguards in the new law aim to protect local water resources and that MICA is tracking implementation.
