At the Feb. 10 meeting the Lorain County Board of Commissioners adopted Resolution No. 26-89 to authorize multiple appropriations. The largest listed line was $1,312,479 for Lead Safe Ohio grant funds expected to be received in 2026. Other appropriations included $55,500 to repay prior Community Development advances and $47,491.29 for the Victims of Domestic Violence allocation.
The board also approved appropriating $480,000 for a consulting agreement amendment for the Willow Creek Watershed and $47,608.78 to reopen a purchase order for Foster Ditch concept planning. Commissioners voted unanimously to adopt the appropriations, with Moore moving and Gallagher seconding. They described these as routine appropriations needed to align department budgets with expected grant revenues and project needs.
