Lorain County OKs MARCS agreement to define radio system responsibilities with state

Lorain County commissioners on Jan. 30 approved an agreement framework with the Ohio Department of Administrative Services Office of Information Technology to participate in the MARCS (Multi-Agency Radio Communications System) statewide radio network.
Resolution No. 26-84 directs the county to enter an agreement that sets out duties and responsibilities for construction funding, equipment funding, installation and long-term ownership and maintenance of towers and other infrastructure that the county constructs in support of MARCS. The resolution states the contract will be executed upon legal review by the Lorain County Prosecutor’s Office. The motion was adopted by Commissioners David J. Moore and Marty Gallagher; Commissioner Jeff Riddell was absent and excused.
