At the Jan. 22 meeting the board approved multiple appointments and a small opioid-related grant. Lloyd Peltier was appointed to the NE Michigan Community Mental Health Authority (term to March 31, 2026) and Mary Burek was reappointed to the Montmorency County Library Board for 2026–2030. An initial motion to appoint Teresa Collins to the DHHS board was withdrawn during discussion; the appointment was later reintroduced and approved with a term to Sept. 30, 2028.
The board also approved an opioid funding request: $506.40 to Thunder Bay Community Health for NA group support. The motion to accept the funding request passed unanimously on roll-call vote.
