Trustees authorized multiple capital maintenance and signage contracts at the meeting.
On a motion made and seconded, the board approved a bid from McLean County Asphalt to reseal the town square at $15,105 (including two coats of gem sealer) and authorized $1,800 for paint striping of the parking lot. That motion passed on roll call with trustees recorded as voting in the affirmative.
Separately, the board approved hiring Illinois Valley Construction to install an electronic sign at the pavilion for $10,485 to be paid from Hotel/Motel funds; the recorded roll call showed Trustee Gordon, Trustee Dawdy and Trustee Kirby voting 'yes' and President Biehl voting 'no'. The minutes state the sign installation cost will be paid from the Hotel/Motel Fund account.
Both items were presented with bid amounts and vendor names in the minutes; no further contractual amendments were recorded at the meeting.
