"So for this cycle, we have a 153 generic names that are eligible for affordability review," Kelly said when presenting the dashboard. Staff explained interactive visualizations and a crosswalk tab that ties aggregated ingredients back to NDCs; they also noted the dashboard censors data when fewer than 10 patients use a product to avoid re-identification.
The board discussed selection strategy — whether to pick the most impactful drugs or to balance biologic and non-biologic picks — and staff said they would post the dashboard publicly within a day or two and send links directly to board members. Members emphasized considering therapeutic alternatives and imminent biosimilar or generic competition when choosing which drugs to review first.
