Analysts flag SUD treatment gaps; ASAM guidance frames co-occurring care needs

Diana Cochrell and others noted structural barriers: separate licensure and certification pathways for substance-use and mental-health treatment complicate integrated care delivery and payment. Agencies said the ASAM adolescent and young adult guidance is being used to think about capacity-building and implementation.
