At the Feb. 12 meeting the board approved two waivers of county review for local township planning actions. Commissioner Mary Hardies moved to waive the county's right to review the Albert Township Planning Commission zoning ordinance following that township's Jan. 28, 2026 public hearing; the motion was seconded by Commissioner Lloyd Peltier and carried 3-0.
The board took a separate but similar vote to waive review of Greenwood Township's master plan after Greenwood's Feb. 3, 2026 request. That motion also was made by Hardies, seconded by Peltier, and passed unanimously. The waivers mean the county will not exercise its formal review right on those two items and the towns may proceed according to their local planning timelines.
