County Controller Aprille Williamson told the board on Feb. 12 that the county is pursuing FEMA public assistance and exploring a MEDC grant opportunity; she also reported that auditors are scheduled to be onsite April 21, 2026. Williamson said open enrollment for insurance has closed and that she has scheduled a meeting with EGLE and the Northeast Michigan MMP for Feb. 23, 2026 to discuss pending matters related to county operations.
Williamson reported that the Equalization Director agreement has been approved by the county attorney and signed, and that a draft soil erosion ordinance has been forwarded to the county attorney for review before being placed on a future agenda. She also said Canada Creek Ranch requested a letter of support for PANO technology and that she will transmit the letter on behalf of the county.
