The Langley City Council unanimously adopted an ordinance to amend the City’s business-licensing provisions to reflect a recently updated Washington State minimum threshold. Director of Finance Kelly Beech explained the change to the Langley Municipal Code before the council voted to adopt the ordinance.
Councilmember Rhonda Salerno moved to approve the ordinance and Councilmember Chris Carlson seconded; the motion passed unanimously. Council discussion was limited to clarifying questions to staff about the scope of the update. The ordinance was adopted as presented, with no recorded dissent.
