The Taloga Board of Education unanimously accepted two resignations and named a new school secretary during its June 10, 2026 regular meeting.
After returning from an executive session called to interview for certified positions and discuss staff contracts, the board voted to accept resignations from Aaron Swart and Minute Clerk Kathleen Hunter and to hire Melissa Workman as Secretary for the 2026–2027 school year. The motions were made by Ladeana Birney and Justin Fox and passed with the recorded vote Yes — Acre, Birney, Fox and Kilmer.
The board had convened an executive session at 6:46 p.m. to conduct interviews and discuss hiring for certified and support staff for the upcoming school year; trustees reported no votes were taken during the closed session and certified staff were not present to interview. The board later approved 2026–2027 staff contracts in a separate unanimous vote.
