Engineering update: Sharpshooter, Center Fayston culverts likely delayed; Randell Road Bridge work to start May 11

Tyler Billingsly of East Engineering (report delivered to the board by Town Clerk Madison Vasseur) told the Selectboard that the culverts on Sharpshooter and Center Fayston Road probably will not be completed in 2026 and that issuing a request for proposals (RFP) now could move construction to 2027. Madison Vasseur said she is preparing a scope change to include cutting 13 trees, which will establish a new timeline.
Michael Jordan expressed concern that the State might withhold payment to the town until culvert work is completed. Vasseur confirmed the May 11 start date for Randell Road Bridge and said crews will work on both bridges simultaneously; Tyler will attend a future meeting once bridge work begins to provide an update.
