Pojoaque Valley board welcomes two new principals for 2026–27

The Pojoaque Valley School Board on Wednesday formally welcomed two principals who will lead schools in the 2026–27 year.
Superintendent Dr. Sinal Segura announced Elizabeth Pacheco as the new principal of Pablo Roybal Elementary School; Pacheco, a district graduate and longtime staff member, thanked the board and said she will "show up every day to do my very best and serve the community well." The board and community members offered congratulations and recounted Pacheco's work with students and families.
The board also welcomed Carlo Murano as principal of Pojoaque Valley High School. Murano, who previously worked in Santa Fe Public Schools and other districts, said he intends to be visible and accessible and invited families and board members to visit campus over the summer. Superintendent Segura said both principals bring leadership experience and community ties that the district expects will support student achievement.
