Chris Archer reported that the town has taken ownership of the newly constructed athletic field at Cromwell Middle School. Archer said, following the work review process, only two contracts remain on the building proper and two contracts remain for the PV system.
Archer also reported that three trees planted as replacements have been replaced multiple times after failing to establish; during the most recent planting contractors found standing water in the bottom of an excavation. The project team said they will resolve the standing-water/drainage issue at the planting location. No formal vote or action was taken on the field handover at the meeting; the update was provided as part of Newfield’s monthly report.
