The Board approved a conditional offer to hire Michael Choiniere as a full-time police officer with a start date of April 6, 2026; the motion carried (Bergstresser-Aye, Stouch-Aye, Carpenter-Aye). The minutes note training achievements for Officer Peters (defensive tactics instructor certification) and that Chief Evans removed a $5,500 MVR video system from the proposed budget to save costs.
The conditional hire was authorized but the minutes record the start date as April 6, 2026 and do not list the conditions (background, medical, academy completion) in the Nov. 17 minutes.
