Douglass Townshipsupervisors on Nov. 17 approved PennDOTcompensation of $9,800 for 2,400 square feet of township right-of-way on Grosser Road tied to the Gilbertsville Road bridge replacement project. Solicitor Wendy McKenna presented the acquisition offer and recommended accepting the payment.
"PennDot has offered $9800 for 2400sf of Township right-of-way on Grosser Road to move forward with the Gilbertsville Road bridge replacement project," McKenna said. The Board voted to accept the offer and then passed Resolution No. 11172025-01 to authorize the Township Manager to sign the Notice of Acquisition, the offer to purchase and related just-compensation documents with PennDOT on behalf of the Board.
The action was taken by motion (mover: Josh Stouch; second: Don Bergstresser) and recorded as BergstresserAye, StouchAye, CarpenterAye. The resolution gives the manager delegated authority to complete the paperwork required for PennDOT to acquire the stated parcel of right-of-way. The minutes do not specify any negotiated conditions beyond the monetary offer.
Next steps: the manager is authorized to execute acquisition documents on the Board's behalf; no further procedural dates tied to this parcel were announced at the meeting.
