Douglass Township police: officer completes field training; department to host Drug Take Back Oct. 25

Chief Evans updated the Board that Officer Maryanski "completed Phase 1 of her Field Training." The Township conducted police interviews Oct. 2 and 3 for the top 10 applicants for an open full-time officer position. The Board heard that the Douglass Township Police Department will participate in the Drug Take Back event on Oct. 25, 2025; the drop-off location will be at the Police Department and residents may drop off unwanted or expired medications from 10:00–14:00 hours.
No candidate hires were recorded in the minutes; finalists will be handled through the department's hiring process following interviews. The Board accepted the police updates and recorded no additional actions at the Oct. 6 meeting.
