PAFC adopts 60-day review process for circulating committee recommendations

The Public Asset and Facilities Committee voted unanimously to approve a proposed internal process for circulating PAFC recommendations to affected stakeholders, adopting a default 60-day review period that the committee may shorten or extend depending on the proposal and stakeholder schedules. The approved process requires the committee to identify which stakeholders will receive the notice (examples listed include Town Council, Town Manager, Finance Director, CPW Director, BOE Facilities Committee and BOE leadership) and to distribute proposals electronically with the requested review period clearly identified. The committee also agreed that substantial revisions after the review period may require a new circulation, while minor changes can proceed to a final PAFC vote and Town Council consideration.
Members positioned the new process as a way to standardize stakeholder engagement and to test the workflow using the CNR process proposal at a future meeting. The committee recorded the motion as passed unanimously.
