Douglass Township offers temporary office space to Upper Pottsgrove after mold closure

Douglass Township Manager Andrew Duncan told supervisors Oct. 6 that Upper Pottsgrove Township closed its municipal building because of mold and that Douglass Township offered use of unused office space on a temporary basis. "Mr. Duncan reached out to Upper Pottsgrove to offer use of the unused space at the Douglass Township Administration Building, on a temporary basis, with no impact on the taxpayers," the minutes record. The Board accepted the update and Duncan said he will keep supervisors informed of developments.
No timeline, cost estimate or duration was discussed at the Oct. 6 meeting. The arrangement as described is contingent on Upper Pottsgrove's acceptance and any logistical or insurance agreements that staff will need to negotiate before occupancy; the Board requested staff to provide updates as they arise.
