Mackinac County commissioners approved a funding request from EUP Regional Planning for round two of Material Management Planning (MMP). The county will cover costs up front and the State will reimburse the county, according to the proposal presented at the July 9 meeting.
The board approved the funding proposal and then separately approved the appointment of Leah Moskovitz to the county Planning Commission based on a recommendation letter. Both motions passed unanimously; documentation for the MMP proposal and the planning-commission recommendation were included in the meeting packet but not read into the minutes.
County staff will complete the reimbursement paperwork with state authorities as required by the EUP Regional Planning proposal.
