The police report listed 272 traffic stops, 23 arrests and 14 guns recovered since the July 22 meeting, with a total of 1,377 calls for service. The department also recorded 739 building checks, 24 domestic incidents and 41 ordinance violations during the period. The report singled out mutual aid from the Cook County Sheriff's Police Department and the Metra Police Department in support of Lynwood Fest and said, "no incidents were reported."
Chief Thomas or his report credited community partners and volunteers for event safety; the Board received the report as part of the meeting record. No operational changes or new departmental budget requests were presented at the meeting.
