Council recommends approval of Class C liquor license for I Want Pho! after background check

The council opened a public hearing on April 7 at 7:13 p.m. to consider a Class C Liquor License application for I Want Pho!, located at 207–209 Box Butte Avenue. Mayor Ammie McGhehey opened the hearing: "now is the date, time and place to conduct a Public Hearing to hear, support, opposition, criticism, suggestions or observations of the taxpayers relating to the Class C Liquor License Application of I Want Pho!." The Alliance Police Department provided a background check with no concerns, and exhibits related to the application were entered into the record.
Witnesses were sworn and testimony was received in support of the application from I Want Pho!. After closing the hearing at 7:16 p.m., the council voted unanimously to approve Resolution No. 26-24 and recommended that the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission grant the Class C license for the premises. The city will transmit a copy of the resolution to the Commission.
