Plan Commission approves preliminary plans for Eli Lilly addition in Prairie Highlands Corporate Park

The Pleasant Prairie Plan Commission approved preliminary site and operational plans that allow Eli Lilly and Company to pursue early permits for mass grading, footing and foundation work and underground utilities for a planned addition at 10300 128th Avenue in Prairie Highlands Corporate Park.
Staff said the project contemplates a three-story addition of approximately 49,221 square feet (about a 16,500 sq ft footprint) for office and manufacturing space, plus a single-story warehouse addition of approximately 14,098 square feet, and that 65% of the site would remain open space. "These plans contemplate a 3 story addition of approximately 49,221 square feet with a building footprint of, just about 4 16,500 square feet," staff said during the presentation. Construction was described as likely to start in late 2024 or early 2025 with completion anticipated in March 2026.
John Cook, who identified himself as "the executive director of engineering and EHS at the Lilly site," answered commissioners' questions about acreage for future expansion and local utility demand, saying at this time the company has no additional expansion plans to disclose and that final site and operational plans will provide more detail for review. The commission moved, seconded and approved the preliminary plans by voice vote.
