Clerk Jane gave the board a summary of November 5 general election statistics and thanked staff and volunteers for the administration. She said the village had 14,360 registered voters and that 13,737 total votes were cast; 5,175 votes were cast at the polls and the Clerk's Office issued 8,676 absentee ballots, of which 8,562 were returned and processed at central count. Fourteen absentee ballots were rejected and one provisional ballot was not perfected and therefore rejected.
The clerk thanked deputy clerk Grace Markiewicz and village staff and volunteers who aided in in‑person voting and the central count. Trustees commended the clerk and volunteers for handling long lines and state‑system issues during early voting. "It was a smooth day," the clerk said, adding appreciation for staff and volunteers who worked the polls.
