Council heard that a formal offer is pending on a parcel on the Mesa and asked staff to provide comparative sales data so the council can consider whether to accept, counter or move forward. "We have a formal offer on it right now," the manager said; councilmembers urged the manager to bring more information to the next meeting so the town can act quickly.
Members also raised a request from the current lessee of a large well pad to have the town take over the lease. The manager said the lessee "has asked if we would take over the lease on that pad" but council members questioned what the town would do with the property if it assumed the lease. On housing, the manager said the town purchased lots for a townhouse project but grant funding and builder commitments are not yet in place; members asked staff to recontact prior leads and to confirm what grant funds are available.
