A wide array of resident concerns dominated the public-comment period. Debbie Burnham raised water-quality concerns, citing an online tool that rates Taylor's water a "C" and warned about PFAS ("forever chemicals"). Staff explained Taylor purchases water from the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA), that an unregulated contaminant sample in 2024 returned low results in the local system and that upcoming state regulation will apply at the GLWA level.
Resident Anna described rodent infestations affecting yards and safety and asked whether the city maps complaints or partners with pest-control services; council asked residents to report issues to the Department of Public Works and discussed code-enforcement limits (the city can cut grass and issue citations but cannot enter private backyards without permission).
