Jim Linville moved that the Selectboard establish a Building and Design Subcommittee of the Weston Selectboard, with representation from project abutters, neighbors and key community stakeholders, to monitor construction and make recommendations on the final bridge design should the town accept CDBG-DR funding. The board also moved to appoint an Owner’s Representative to represent the town’s interests in coordination with the subcommittee; both motions were seconded and unanimously approved.
The committee is intended to provide local oversight during design and construction and to coordinate with an Owner’s Representative if the town moves forward with grant-funded work. No individual subcommittee appointments or an Owner’s Representative name were recorded in open session.
